Happy Campers, Happy Parents
Kate H. Arlene L. “I just wanted to take a minute to thank the staff at Butler for a great camp. My daughter really enjoyed it and wants to come back next year again too with her teammates from the Kokomo Soccer Club. Thanks for the updates when rain/flooding got in the way and for the info on the last day of camp so I could come watch her in the juggling and 4 v 4 competition. This is the fourth and final sports camp she’s done this year (2 soccer, 2 basketball) and glad we saved the best for last!” Joshua W. “Thanks again for a great week. Ellie had a blast. We did highs and lows of the week at dinner tonight and Ellie said Butler camp was her high…when her dad asked her which part. She thought long and hard, shrugged her shoulders, and said, “I just loved all of it!” Thanks. Appreciate your heart with it and the way the girls also learned some soccer skills – Best of both worlds.” Michele P. “A big thank you from our family. My son had a wonderful time at camp last week. He learned new skills, new friendships, new memories…all thanks to the fantastic Butler Staff! We will definitely see you next year!“ The ‘H’ Family Todd W.

A LUNCH PASS can be purchased for $15 ($3.75 per lunch). Camp lunch includes choice of pizza or Smucker’s Uncrustable PB and J, fresh fruit, fresh vegetable, cookie or brownie, and a juice. Campers may also bring their own lunch.
Camp Athletic Trainer
A certified camp athletic trainer will be present during all camp sessions. At camp check-in on Monday morning, if necessary, please make the athletic trainer aware of any medicine or medical conditions your camper may have.
Initially, campers will be grouped according to age. After evaluation by their coach and if necessary, campers will be re-grouped according to skill level. The best effort will also be given to honor teammate requests.
Camp Bank Card
Campers will have the opportunity to purchase a bank card at the beginning of the week. This card will be used to buy drinks and snacks at the concession stand, eliminating the need to carry cash during the week. Any remaining 'punches' on the card will be refunded on the last day of camp.
On various days, Campers have the option of a 40-minute swim at the HRC indoor pool. You will receive communication prior to camp letting you know which day(s) your camper has the opportunity to swim. There is Life Guards present. The pool depth is 3 ft, 6 inches. Campers choosing to swim will need a swimsuit, towel and a change of shoes for the walk to the pool.
Inclement Weather Plan
In the case of lighting or other severe weather, we will move campers indoors. Camp will not be canceled due to bad weather, however, Butler University does not have indoor space available to play soccer. We will fill the day with movies, taped soccer games, talent show, trivia games etc. It is up to you if you would like to keep your camper home on days that the weather is not predicted to let up. It does not a frequent occurrence, but we have experienced days like this in the past.
